Publication Ethics Statement
ACEE is committed to the highest standards of scholarly publishing integrity. We require all participants—authors, editors, reviewers, and our publisher—to adhere to ethical conduct, transparency, and accountability throughout submission, peer review, and publication.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Submit original work not under consideration elsewhere.
- Disclose all sources and avoid plagiarism or redundant publication.
- Declare any conflicts of interest or funding sources.
- Report data and methods accurately, enabling reproducibility.
- Obtain ethical approvals and participant consent when required.
Editorial & Reviewer Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and review content.
- Ensure impartial assessment and discourage bias related to authors’ identity.
- Refrain from undue influence or coercive behavior.
- Review potential conflicts of interest and recuse when needed.
Peer Review Integrity
ACEE applies double-blind peer review to support fairness. Editors evaluate quality, novelty, and ethics while reviewers deliver objective, constructive feedback aligned with disciplinary standards.
Misconduct & Resolution
Suspected cases of misconduct—plagiarism, data falsification, citation manipulation, or redundant publication—are thoroughly investigated. Actions may include correction, expression of concern, or retraction. In serious cases, institutions or funders may be informed.
Corrections & Retractions
Minor errors are addressed with corrigenda or errata. For serious flaws affecting validity or integrity, retraction is issued with a clear, linked notice to preserve the scholarly record.
Appeals Process
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting substantive new evidence. Appeals are handled by independent editors to ensure transparency and fairness.
Ethical Oversight
ACEE complies with international standards for publication ethics. Policies are reviewed regularly to reflect evolving best practices in scholarly publishing governance.
