Preservation and Archiving Policy
ACEE is dedicated to ensuring the long-term integrity, authenticity, and availability of all published content. All articles, supporting data, and associated metadata are securely archived to guarantee future access regardless of platform changes or publisher status.
Archiving Infrastructure
All content—including XML, HTML, and PDF formats—is hosted on redundant, secure cloud-based servers. Regular backups are maintained, with disaster recovery protocols that can restore content within 24–36 hours if necessary.
Digital Preservation Services
ACEE deposits complete archival copies in third-party digital preservation services such as Portico. This “dark archive” ensures that published materials remain accessible even if the journal platform ceases to operate. Preservation includes all formats and metadata versions required for long-term digital integrity.
Metadata Retention & Version Control
Comprehensive metadata—including author names, affiliations, keywords, abstracts, DOIs, and version information—is retained indefinitely. Version control is maintained so all published revisions and corrections are documented and traceable.
Repository Support & Redundancy
Articles may also be mirrored in independent scholarly repositories, library archives, and indexing services—ensuring availability from multiple reliable sources. Content remains available via these repositories in case of platform disruptions or publisher inactivity.
Access Continuity & Transparency
If ACEE ceases operations or changes ownership, archived content will remain accessible through preservation partners and approved institutional repositories. Any changes affecting access will be transparently communicated to stakeholders via the journal website.

- Redundancy coverage: Multiple archives and backups reduce risk of data loss.
